We all need a reprieve from our busy schedules and time to ignite our senses and creativity. We think we have just the ticket – a walk in a garden. Now imagine your stress drifting away while strolling through FIVE beautifully landscaped gardens.
On Sunday, July 12, from 1 to 5 pm, five homeowners will share their yards and gardens as part of the Cedar Falls Historical Society’s Annual Garden Tour. If you’ve ever attended previous garden tours, you’ll know that any and all of the gardens are HGTV-worthy. They’re that beautiful!
This year’s garden tour is particularly special as it’s their 20th anniversary. At no extra cost, workshops will be held at the Victorian Home & Carriage House Museum and will be provided by the Seed Saving Library at 1 pm and at 4 pm by the UNI Tallgrass Prairie Center. This special tour will also feature a prize drawing for perennials, garden accessories, floral themed décor and more.
Tickets for the garden tour are only $5 per person and can be purchased in advance at the Victorian Home & Carriage House Museum at 308 W. 3rd Street in Cedar Falls. On July 12, tickets can also be purchased at any of the homes on the tour.
For more details on workshops, ticket information and a list of homes on this year’s tour, please visit the Cedar Falls Historical Society website.
