The 41st annual Shrine Bowl is making their new home in Cedar Falls this year and downtown Cedar Falls is helping celebrate the event.

On Wednesday, July 24 there will be a special Movies Under the Moon showing of Rudy for the Shrine Bowl participants and the public. Popcorn will be available for purchase during this special presentation. The feature will begin at dusk or 9 p.m. in Overman Park.

On Saturday, July 27 at 9:30 a.m. a fun, lively, and family friendly parade featuring Shriners from across Iowa, the football players, and the cheerleaders will take place on the parkade. Following the parade from 10:30 a.m.-11a.m., an autograph session will take place on the corner of Fourth and Main Streets between the players and their fans.

At 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 27 the Shrine Bowl will take place inside the Dome on the University of Northern Iowa campus. The game is available for public attendance.

So mark your calendars and bring your family and friends to help downtown Cedar Falls welcome the Shrine Bowl. For more information on the event visit http://iowashrinebowl.org.

About the Iowa Shrine Bowl

The Iowa Shrine Bowl is an all-star football game between selected pre-college football athletes on each side of a north-south dividing line in Iowa. The players are selected by a process of nomination and official invitation from the Iowa Shrine Bowl. The annual game brings honor and recognition to the players, their schools, and their communities. It also helps raise money for the Shriners Hospital For Children.
