The month of March is upon us and for Hartman Reserve, this means it is time for the annual Maple Syrup Festival. On Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., be sure to come out to Hartman Reserve for unlimited pancakes topped with delicious maple syrup made on the reserve. Chris Cakes will be tossing them to you once again this year, which is always an entertaining treat. Along with all of those pancakes will be sausage, Starbucks coffee and Hansen’s milk. Whether you attend every year or have not yet experienced the event, it is sure to be a fun and delicious weekend.
Visit the Sugar Shack during the festival for the syrup processing demonstrations, where you will learn about how tree sap becomes maple syrup. Kids and adults alike love to see how the cooking process works and have all their questions answered.
Don’t forget to sign up for the raffle for the chance to win great prizes. This year you could go home with a kayak from CrawDaddy Outdoors or a bike from Bike Tech and CVAST! If you couldn’t get enough of that locally made syrup, you can purchase a bottle from Hartman’s gift shop to enjoy at home.
Tickets will be available at the door for $8 per adult and $5 per youth (age 3-12); ages 2 and under are free. Advance tickets can be bought for $1 off ticket price up until March 2 by calling 277-2187. Be one of over 2,300 people to eat well and enjoy another year at the festival!
